My Talbots Favorites

I'm not sure if I have just hit that age where I'm done buying crappy clothes or if I've hot that stage in life where I'd rather buy classic, well-made pieces that last me a long time. 

It has taken me a LONG time to admit my love for Talbots openly but I have. AND they have a fabulous sale right now so I figured I'd share my favorite pieces from them right now. 

My FAVORITE striped top. 

There's something about the bow detail that got me immediately. I'm actually very tempted to get it in yellow too. I have it in blue and white stripes (shocker, I know) and what I love is that it's a thicker tee so it holds structure. AND the bow holds shape and doesn't have to be retied. It's also a little longer than the average tee so it hides the muffin top AND conceals the belly. 

My Live-In Romper.

If you know me, you know I love a good romper or jumpsuit. This is a giant tee shirt. Totally designed to be lived in day in and day out. Dress up easily with some statement earrings and fun sandals or dress down with sneakers and a denim jacket. Or just wear it around your house and relish in being comfy yet still dressed in "real clothes". 

My Heart Button Down.

Talbots has the BEST button down shirts. They come in misses, petite, plus, and petite plus. I swear they appeal to all sizes and styles of women. I got this shirt for Valentines Day and will also wear it for Memorial Day. Plus, it's cute with the contrast pop collar pattern under any colored sweater. Best part? It stays solid and not wrinkly even after being washed and put in the dryer. 

Apres Sail Sweater.

Now, this isn't everyone's style but I adore it. The fun back print just screams beach in the summer time! It's thick enough to provide good snuggling on chilly summer nights yet not overwhelming to make you sweat and think it's just for the winter. Plus, taking a classic navy blue cardigan and adding some ivory piping is simply classic. 

Marled Duster Cardigan. 

This is so comfortable. I have last year's version in a navy marled and I wear it out running errands, around the house to stay cozy, and even over a button down for date nights. Plus, the duster length is flattering on everyone.
